Group Therapy – London

I offer group therapy sessions for individuals, couples, families, business teams and other therapists and NHS practitioners including nurses, doctors and specialist clinicians.

Group therapy sessions provide an opportunity to hear from others about similar and different situations, and how they can be best managed and resolved – all within a safe, secure and confidential environment.

My group therapy sessions support the exploration and resolution of areas of concern using a range of verbal, creative and somatic therapeutic approaches, including dance and drama, yoga and movement, art and drawing, and the use of small objects, therapeutic stories, imagination, voice and percussion.

Working in this way offers more insight than talking therapy alone, helping people to gain a better understanding of their own processes as well as learning from others and having the opportunity to experiment with a different way of being.

What are the benefits of group therapy?

  • A safe space to explore, process and integrate experiences in a confidential group environment.
  • A chance to hear from others and gain new perspectives about ongoing issues.
  • A way to practice resolving problems, by acting out solutions or expressing the resolution creatively.
  • Supports couples to learn from others and practice communication and intimacy exercises with their partner both inside and outside of sessions.
  • Enables families to hear how other families are resolving/ coping with similar situations.
  • Offers business teams a space to reflect on work goals/ targets, as well as individual and team functioning, including communication and relationships.
  • Gives therapists and clinicians the opportunity to practice self-care, have fun with peers and let go of the burden of looking after others, as well as steps towards a better work/ life balance.

How does it work?

I run 6-week group therapy sessions for individuals, couples and families. Please email me to find out more, or see my LinkedIn and Facebook pages for details of upcoming sessions.

Where do sessions take place?

My group therapy sessions take place in quiet and comfortable spaces such as yoga studios and church halls, primarily in south London.

How much does it cost?

For public group therapy sessions, please email me at kathy.miller@outlook.com or see my LinkedIn and Facebook pages.

The cost of private sessions depends upon the size and requirements of the group: please email me at kathy.miller@outlook.com to discuss.
